Secret Santa Rules and Regulations

Welcome to the Secret Santa Project!

Hello and Welcome to SecretSantaProject. Thank you for joining our group.   Christmas is getting nearer and nearer, and in order to spread the holiday cheer, I've decided to create a Secret Santa  group that is bound to be active every year.
For those who are familiar with Secret Santa or have done it in the past, you will know how the whole procedure works. For those who don't, read on!

What media is allowed during the Secret Santa Event?
-We accept all traditional, and digital art (that goes for animations and flash as well.)
Unless we get enough Literature members, we strongly discourage the exchange of literature, as with Photography. The only exception to that rule is if your person specifically asks for a type of Literature/Photo.
The use of bases is strictly forbidden! All work must be your own!

Why is there a Literature Folder in the Gallery?
-We will accept any kind of media that is Christmas related, but ISN'T involved with the Secret Santa event. (Meaning that the type of literature (poetry, fiction, haiku, etc) is not your actual Secret Santa present.)

When do I get to know my person?
-The cut off date for joining is going to be November 27 . I will then note you your person on the 3rd of December.

When do Secret Santa Submissions start?
-I will be approving your Secret Santa gifts on the 24th of December. Until then, only Christmas related artwork is allowed to be submitted to the gallery.

When is the due date for my Wish List?
-Please send it to the group by December 2. Earlier submissions are always encouraged

How are pairings selected?
-There are two ways I can pair you up with your Secret Santa. One is using an online generator to match up the names themselves (which is the fairest way to do it), or by skill level. I have changed it this year, so instead of looking at the wishlists individually, you are paired up with a person based on their level of drawing.

IF YOU WANT TO JOIN, YOU MUST DO THE FOLLOWING:
Promote the group in any way (ex: putting it in your journal entry, mentioning it in your signature, etc.)

IF YOU ARE A MEMBER:
Submit a journal entry with your Wishlist as soon as possible! NOTE: You are only allowed to request ONE character in a picture from your Secret Santa. Do not be greedy!
We take this group seriously. If you wish to join it, you must adhere to it's rules. If you want to get a present, YOU MUST GIVE ONE AS WELL. Failure to do so will result in a permanent ban from the group.
In your wishlist, provide a reference to the character you are requesting. It's a tedious task for your Secret Santa to go through your gallery, or google your person.
You are allowed to list as many characters as you want. However, like the aforementioned stated, your Secret Santa will only be picking one.
Put some effort into your work. It doesn't have to be perfect, but it must at least show that you have worked hard on it.
